FLORENCE GERTRUDE MARTIN (nee HODGE) 1916 - 2007 It is with sadness that the family of Flo Martin announces her passing on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at the Victoria General Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Peter in 1978, Mom leaves to mourn her passing, her daughters, Marie (Bob) Gilmour of Beausejour, MB, Jan (Dave) McCormick and Deborah Martinuzzi of Winnipeg; her sons, Gerald (Joanne) Martin and John Martin of Vancouver, BC. Also predeceased by her brother Dave Hodge, she leaves her brothers, Ken Hodge of Winnipeg and Bryant Hodge of Lorette, MB. Florence was born and raised in Pointe du Bois, MB where she and our father married and raised their family. Upon Dad's retirement, they moved to Winnipeg. Shortly after Dad passed away, Mom moved to St. John's Haven where she lived happily and independently for many years. Mom will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her many talents and wonderful sense of humour. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Gloria Jansen who shared a special bond with mom, as well as Ray Lavoie who was always there for mom when she called. A private service and interment has taken place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Cry not for me, my heart is light, My soul is free for all eternity.
